CONSUMER SERVICES SPECIALIST Community Placement Plan
Redwood Coast Regional Center is currently recruiting for this case management position for the Ukiah office. It requires a Bachelor's degree in human services, or related field, with two years experience in a case management, or a similar position with a regional center, direct provider of service to persons with developmental disabilities, disability advocacy, developmental center or similar type of work experience. Under direction, the Consumer Services Specialist-Community Placement Plan (CPP) is responsible for maintaining a caseload of approx. 20 consumers in state development centers and/or developmental center satellites, and for attending all such consumers' person-centered IPP meetings, reviewing all records, ensuring appropriate follow-up, keeping staff updated and aware of the needs of consumers, ensuring that community placement is considered for consumers. The position requires good communications skills, both verbally and written, and an ability to counsel and advocate for persons with developmental disabilities and their families. A basic knowledge of positive behavior supports as well as the ability to show sensitivity relating to other cultures is required. An understanding of the developmental disabilities service delivery system in California or states with similar systems, along with knowledge of the legal system and statutes pertaining to persons with disabilities is necessary. Candidates must possess the ability to present technical information in a court-room situation, to deal with conflicts between individuals and conflicts between parts of the service system. Candidate must have computer competency.
EDUCATION: A Bachelors Degree in human services or related field, with two years experience in a case-carrying or similar position with a regional center, direct provider of services to persons with developmental disabilities, disability advocacy, developmental center or similar type of work experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:This position requires a valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, minimum vehicle insurance as prescribed by law or the ability to provide for independent transportation. This position requires travel including some overnight travel outside the catchment area. Salary range: $3172 - $4463 per month with an excellent benefit package. Note: This position is a project position funded by the California Department of Developmental Services Community Placement. (CPP)

EARLY START COORDINATOR
Under direction and in collabortaion with other agencies, this position is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining Early Start services for Mendocino and Lake counties. The position is involved in interagency collaboration with the County Office of Education, Public Health, Social Services, Mental Health, HeadStart, and Drug and Alcohol Programs. The Early Start Coordinator encourages agencies to identify and address needs, works with providers and potential providers to develop Early Start services, assists community groups and individuals in securing funding for needed services, is heavily involved in providing technical assistance and training to regional center staff, providers, and community groups.
EDUCATION: The position requires a Masters Degree in human services or related field, with one year relevant experience, or a Bachelors Degree in human services of related field, with three years relevant experience, or a RN licensure with early childhood education and case management experience, preferably wotking with children with developmental disabilities.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:This position requires a valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, minimum vehicle insurance as prescribed by law or the ability to provide for independent transportation. Computer literacy is required. Salary range: $3073 - $4324 per month with an excellent benefit package.

SERVICE COORDINATOR
Under supervision, this position provides advocacy for persons with developmental disabilities and their families. Assesses, plans, implements, and coordinates multi-disciplinary services.
EDUCATION: A Masters Degree in human services or related field and one year related experience, or a Bachelors Degree in human services with two years relevant experience, or RN licensure with three years relevant experience.
Preference given to Spanish speaking candidates.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires reliable transportation, possession of a valid driver's license, minimum insurance requirements as prescribed by law, or the ability to provide for independent transportation. Must have computer literacy within the Microsoft/Windows environment.
Salary range: $2749 - $3868 per month with an excellent benefit package.
