NURSE CONSULTANT
1 full time position in Eureka, CA

NURSE CONSULTANT
Under minimal supervision, this position participates as a member of an interdisciplinary
team in program planning and evaluation, and in the development and implementation of
individual service treatment plans; serves as a consultant to consumers, their families,
regional center staff, and community agencies and organizations that work with persons
with developmental disabilities; assists with resources, identifies the need for additional
resources, and acts as a liaison with community agencies and organizations; provides
genetic counseling services, participates on the agency's QA team, arranges for
nursing assessments; provides trainings and in-services for consumers, staff, and
service providers; participates in numerous administrative functions such as attending
meetings, writing policies and procedures, completing forms and other related work
as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A Masters Degree in nursing from an accredited college
or university, or a BSN Degree from an accredited college or university with one year post
graduate experience; a California RN License and a Public Health Nursing Certificate
are required. One year of additional experience providing nursing services to
persons with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Computer literacy within the Microsoft/Windows
environment is required.
Travel, including some overnight trips, is required.
Salary range: $3269 - $4600 per month with an excellent benefit package.
