DRAFT 2008 PERFORMANCE PLAN
RCRC participated with five other regional centers to change the way in which Performance Contracts between regional centers
and the Department of Developmental Services(DDS) are carried out. DDS lead a "system reform" effort which focused,
in part, on establishing a performance-based system of accountability for all who serve consumers and their families.
Formerly, Performance Plans were developed each year to meet one-year objectives which support five-year goals in nine category areas.
Under the Pilot Project, participating centers developed annual plans which have three primary areas of effort.
- Achieving compliance with Compliance Measures established by the Department of Developmental Services.
- Improving/maintaining performance in meeting Public Policy Outcomes. These outcomes look at regional center performance
in a number of areas that represent high priorities for all persons served Statewide.
- Developing/improving/maintaining performance in Local Policy Outcomes. Local policy outcomes, and ways to measure them,
are currently in the process of being developed as part of this year's Performance Plan.
